I'll be posting a review of ECS's G33 motherboard this next week, and should have something within the next couple of weeks on Gigabyte's G33 board.

Its a good chipset, not a top choice for the enthusiast, but a typical INTEL chipset.....solid, feature rich, and a great performer

INTEL QX9650 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 8GB PC2-8500 // BFG GTX260 MaxCore // DD Torture Rack // Seagate 750GB HDD // OCZ Vendetta // PC Power & Cooling 620W PSU

Generally, MicroATX boards do not OC well. Don't expect too much.

About the BIOS update, you might want to put the CPU in. The BIOS may detect the CPU as a different CPU (i.e. Core 2 Duo as a Pentium D), but when you update the BIOS, it should detect the CPU correctly.

Good Luck!!

With NVMonitor, 20C idle. With CoreTemps, 33C idle. Never above 50C at load!
