Well, I've pretty much given up on this board. 3 different bios's, and it still has this stupid lets not post more than once attitude.

Even with everything pulled, just the bare mobo and cpu, nothing else plugged in, it'll post (well, try to post, it'll give you the no ram post code) once, then nothing.

I pm'd the guy who sold it to me on the anandtech forums, but I'm not sure an rma would even be worth it.

Probably just going to pick up one of these: Newegg.com - MSI P35 Neo2-FR LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards using my dell gift cards I have handy, unless the guy offers me a refund or something.

Well, I'll call asus first... but.... lame.

( I hope I don't have this trouble looking for a new car like I plan to)

I'm starting to think that something is up with my old fps epsilon psu.

I had this mobo out of the case, setup on a box, with a 450w cooler master psu, and it didn't have any trouble at all. Would restart and post every time.

Put it back in my case, and it's doing the same thing.

The main difference between the two psu's is that the cooler master only has the 1 4 pin cpu connector, and the fsp has two that you can link together to fit the 8 pin port on the mobo.

So, I tried the fsp with just one of the plugs, and it's going nice.

Messed with bios a bit, restarted a few times, and started to install windows, go and cook dinner, and then come back, and it's back to it's old tricks.

Me thinks now that my fsp psu is just going out on me or something.

Too bad this cooler master psu can't handle my computer.

Have you tried with the FSP and the motherboard out of the case?

I didn't have time for that, I'll try that either tonight after work, or tomorrow (sometime before I buy a new psu, at least.)

I'm defiantly leaning towards the psu being the problem though. (although I've got enough dell gift cards right now to pick up a shiny red pc power and cooling 750w psu that should work really well in my shiny red antec 900.

Yeah, well it would suck if it was something shorting out with your case and you found that out after trashing a working PSU.

Yeah, very true. Although if my antec is shorting out this mobo, I'm gonna just cry. I spent too much work making it red and shiney, and full of holes (all 2 of them).

Poor board. You wanted to return it! It's like the Companion Cube and has feelings.

Yeah.... I feel bad for it.... but not too much. I just wish I wasn't stuck at work... hard to give it the attention it deserves when i'm at work...

argh, it's posting happily away while it's outside of the antec 900 pos stupid case. I am just really not liking that case right now.... probably just too much crap jammed into it. I really need a bigger case to hold the 3 hard drives, 2 dvd drives, fan controller, dual video cards, and a water cooling loop for the video cards.
