| Modder-ator | So was that issue solved by booting and flashing with the Winchester? It's not really Asus's fault, AMD produced a new chip revision that required a BIOS flash. You must have just gotten really unlucky and gotten an older board with a really old BIOS and it was being stubborn. Either way, it's hard to put all the blame on Asus, it's not completely their part (although part of it is since it was such a hassle). |

| T-Rex | Yeah I guess it's easy to put the blame on Asus. Yes it was solved with the Winchester. I just had to think about the trick, since it was not written in the manual anywhere and not written on the post screen either. It's alright this way, those things are fine when they happen with a company there's always another way to do stuff, but just think about the poor "******" customer building his own computer to get some experience and save on cost... Now that would have sucked. |
