I bought 2x 1GB of the Crucial Ballistix Tracers, ldenticle to what I have,on eBay for $51.00 NIB !!! Should have them today. What is the correct way to install them ? I noticed that alot of sellers bought them possibly off newegg because of the rebate, and then carefully remove the bar code, send out the rebate, and resell the unopened box. I have no problem with that...$51 is like half or better off of the original price on the Crucial website.

many times they sell it for a few dollars more than what they got it for after the rebate... I myself don't really get it, the few extra dollars goes to fleabay anyways...

In my case, when originally purchased from the egg, they were around $75. with a handsome rebate of $35 ,bringing the final price to around $40. Now they list it on ebay on a buy it now format for $75 and/or start the bidding at $45. Of the numerous sales I searched, they were all selling in the $62 - $70 range. They were pocketing somewhere in the neighborhood of $25 + the rebate. Ebay fees would be somewhere around $2 +-.....Thats not too shabby,BUT, further reading of the egg rebate states that only 2 rebates / house addy. It would average out to approx. $120 profit for 2 sales.+-

yes but if you buy 2 of this one and 2 of another type, you can get all sorts of rebates and walk away with a decent wad of cash between the sale and the rebate.

install them the same way you would any other memory. Nothing changes, it will just happen that you will have 4 instead of 2 sticks.

remember to look at the latency numbers for each (the 5-5-5-12 type of number setup), and on the first boot, go in and set them all to the highest numbers between the two (if one says 4-4-4-12 and the other says 5-4-5-12, set them to the 5-4-5-12)... but if both sets have the same numbers then make sure thats where they are set in the BIOS....

HAHA, nice image.
I think screwball means that your memory is only as good as the weakest link; so you have to run the faster memory kit at the speed and latency of the slower (if infact you have two differently spec'd memory kits). If the memory kits are all the same, then you have no worries.
