| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | Don't spend the extra $25 on LEDs. If the extra cash is burning a hole in your pocket, you could splurge for a DDR2-1066 kit instead, and still come out ahead. Crucial Ballistix 2GB DDR2-800 - $50 shipped (after $25 MIR)* Crucial Ballistix Tracers 2GB DDR2-800 - $75 shipped Crucial Ballistix 2GB DDR2-1066 - $70 shipped (after $25 MIR)** Crucial Ballistix Tracers 2GB DDR2-1066 - $116 shipped *represents my first choice **represents my second choice |

| The Crucial w/rebate are hands down the best deal. Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) The Corsair will OC almost as well and sometimes better and are an even better price. CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Personally I suggest you go with 4GB and be ready for 64 Bit OS G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) I run a set of these and they are fine Ram ... but there is not much headroom for overclocking past spec with them. I run 6GB 64 Bit OS with a Ram drive and Caching ... so my system smokes and latencies isn't much an issue since I am running a swap file in the ram drive. To be supportive ... I vote Crucial ... good bang for the buck. Main: 3ghzQ6600, Gemini2, IP35 Pro, PC 610W PSU, 4GB 6400, XP Pro, 500GB raid 0, 22" + (2)19" WS LCD's w/ Palit 9600 GT and Dual Core Notebook. Cambridge # 12 Portable, Rode Podcaster Fios-15mbs Server: 3.6ghzE3110 Big Typhoon, Gigabyte P35-DS4, 550VX PSU, 8GB DDR2 8000, XP 64, 320GB raid 0, (2) 19" WS LCD, XFX 9600GT, HT 550Pro, BoomTube Portable VidServer: 3ghzQ6600, Nirvana, BloodIron, PC 610W PSU, 4GB 6400, XP Pro, ATI, Bose Sound. Draft-N LanBox: IceCube, 3.6ghzE8400, HDT, EVGA mATX, PSU, 2GB, XP, XFX, 500Gb Sata. Last edited by Tech Geek Deluxe; January 25th, 2008 at 19:34. |

| Do i scare u? | I'm only looking for a 2GB kit for right now, I'll maybe get a 4GB kit later. It looks like the Crucial kit w/out the LED's is what I'll get. Quote:
