I use newegg but I have heard good things about Monarch as well. Tiger Direct has also gotten pretty good reviews on other forums.

Used to hate Tiger... Abnormally long shipping. It's ratings are shooting up though... I'm quite impressed.

Seems like pretty good ram to me, using Samsung UCCC like almost all the other quaity memore modules on the market. I'd like to know what board they used, but meh.
Edit: They probably used brainpower, but I couldn't find a review where they mentionned it.
You can get some OCZ just like mine pretty cheap over @ NCIX btw. I couldn't be happier, even though I prefered my 1Gb Samsung TCCC over this...the 2Gb ain't worth it yet in my opinion. Still nice memory though.

Linkety link

As for OCZ I had no problem contacting them to exchange my boss OCZ PC3200 Premier 1gb kit, which he bought something like 2 years ago. They had still some of it in stock, my boss would have prefered something with somewhat tighter timings you know. :P He sold them and runs on 2Gb of Samsung TCCE OEM now.

Did you perhaps mean "TCCD" or "TCC5"?

They are probably TCCE, I have heard of it, and my ram has TCCC, Just think of TCCC as lame TCCD

I've heard of TCCC, but not TCCE, that's why I was curious about the TCCE. Got a link to some info on TCCE?

Nope no link, but yeah TCCC & TCCE are just like lame TCCD. ;)
Nothing really screaming gives some ok 2.5-3-3-7 but nothing like BH5 or TCCD. I dunno why they removed TCCD from the market. :(

Hey fellas, I need a little help here, I am considering on upgrading my RAM from 1GB to 2GB. Currently I have 2 sticks of 512mb DDR400 Corsair TwinX in dual channel. I was thinking of getting 2 stick of 1GB Corsair RAM along with the 200 gig sata hdd that is coming some time next week. I am not sure which Corsair RAM to get for my mobo. I don't intend to overclock anything in my rig, just want better performance without tweaking settings and stuff. Thanks for the time to help me out. BTW what is this DDR500 that I am hearing about?? is it compatible with my mobo?? what is the performance difference to the DDR400??

mobo - Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
Proc. - AMD Athlon XP 3000
RAM - Corsair TWinX 1GB 512x2

All great questions.
HERE is a review of the Corsair TWINX2048-4000PT (DDR500) 2GB Memory Kit you referred to. If you read through the review to the performance benchmarks, you will see that it definately has better performance than DDR400 memory with tighter timings. If you can afford it, it would be a nice upgrade. However, I just want to point out that the benefits of going from DDR400 to DDR500 might be more noticeable performance jump than 1GB to 2GB if you are not a super gamer benchmark freak.

Thanks man, so basically the DDR500 Corsair RAM will work for my mobo correct?? The reason I think going 2GB is because if and when I decide to do other stuff with my rig, I will have sufficient memory on hand. Thanks again for the replies. :D
