Haha, I like their listed specs:

Also, you probably won't have to buy another dual channel kit. If they don't already, I imagine they will sell single sticks for people to easily move from dual to tri mode.

Yea that happens quite a bit. I'm pretty sure they have some coding issues or something with the site.

Regardless - yea I think they should start releasing single 1GB/2GB sticks (if not now, soon). There is NOTHING for single stick DDR3 on that website anyway, or Newegg.ca for that matter.

Hmm thanks - rub it in more.

LOL!

Decided - I'm going to be picking up the OCZ Gold DDR3-1333 kit at 7-7-7-xx.

If/when necessary, I will, somehow, add a 3rd stick for tri-channel and have a nice 6GB beast.

Even Corsair is suggesting here that certain memory is for the i7.

HEXUS.net - News :: Corsair announces ultra-quick DOMINATOR memory for Intel Core i7 : Page - 1/1

The prices aren't as bad as I thought they'd be.

FYI

I was burning an iso of Vista Ultimate with sp1 slipped in, motherboard drivers and some hotfixes the other day on my RigII (see below) it has 4x1 GB ram. It took maybe 10 minutes to burn the DVD but my system used 90-94% of available memory while completing the the task. Under normal use I use only 34-42% of available memory.
Hope this helps!

That simply gives me more of a reason to go for the 2x2GB version! Thanks!

I mean...you may have to look at bigger modules if (when) you go the Nehalem (or thereafter) route.

Changed choice - much better:

Canada Computers - Memory > Desktop Memory > DDR3 1333 PC3-10666+ : OCZ (OCZ3P13334GK) DDR3 PC3-10666 1333MHz Platinum Edition Dual Channel 4G Kit.

$166.99 after MIR with 7-7-7-20 timings...I like!

When I first saw that price I come close to making stinky in my pants ......then I realized it was in Canadian currency.Whew....close call! With the current exchange rate @ 1.2942.it places it at quite a price though @ $129.03 American. Not a bad deal really.

I can't believe you American's took our dollar back down to below 80 cents!

Lol not to get off topic - but that's simply to encourage more manufacturing. Unfortunately, I think this market slump is gonna take a good 5-8 years to recover.

Anyway - so you think that's a good deal to go with?

BWM O.M.G. - very nice sig! :P

Surely,my intentions were not to go off topic, but to relate the price difference and to point out that in any case, that the pricing of the said RAM choice was to me,a deal to be had.

And yes.....the sig looks nice! Some guy who thinks he's a DR. made it for me.
