ur running a divider right? My ocz ram is wierd like that too. If you run a divider, regardless if the ram is at stock ro not, you need more voltage just because fo the divider. Makes no sense what so ever, but thats how it works. LOL

Ok then it's your CPU. Small FFTs is not even going to strain ram enough to cause an error. I don't know how the AMD fsb works but whatever frequency your CPU is running @ to get 250mhz on the memory, it's unstable. Try raising vcore a notch.

I highly doubt it's my CPU though. I'm starting to be rather doubtful of prime95... Will check with memtest86+ probably tonight.
Well fps justin, everyone recommends a good 2.8v for this ram to operate at it's best. OCZ says 2.75v. Anyway I need to check more in that, kinda weird if you ask me. =/

Running small FFTs skips the memory, and is done in CPU cache. Small FFTs is not failing because of the memory. FSB can also make it fail. Maybe raise voltage on FSB.

Also polobunny: while you may be setting 2.75 in the bios, yet the actual voltage may be less. Bump vDDR a bit and see what happens. Up to 2.85 is not going to hurt anything. Some DDR will take like 3.3v lol.

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

OCZ also says that it's equipped with EVP (Extended Voltage Protection), which "is a feature that allows performance enthusiasts to use a VDIMM of 2.9V ± 5% without invalidating their OCZ Lifetime Warranty" (LINK). For the mathematically challenged, that means up to 2.95V.

I'd certainly explore various voltage options before trying to RMA a kit of RAM that, so far, performs exactly as advertised...

Bumping old thread, but it's definitive, at least one stick of RAM is defect.

I'll have to send this kit back, but it will be for the best. It's prime stable @ 245mhz but forget 250mhz, fails prime under a minute. Even up to 2.85v. I changed my CPU (now with 3800 X2) and tested on someone friend Lanparty UT SLi-DR Expert and nada, won't work properly.
I'm pretty sure it's only 1 stick thought I haven't tested much further, but being a kit I have to send both back. At least I still have my 2 512mb Samsung DDR400 so I won't be ram-less for the week it will take. :)

Wow, simply wow.
I am under the impression my memory provider never sent my memory on RMA. It's behaving the same way as my "previous" kit (failing at anything over 245mhz). I remember the packaging to have this small misprinting of the bar code. Sadly enough, I did not put anything on the memory to identify it, something I should have done.
I did not test it on another computer, but really the same problems occur, and it's driving me nuts.
I'll try to find another computer to test this on, and if everything is the same i'm sending this on RMA myself.

What kind of timings are you using?

3-4-3-8, advertised timings.
On another note, this kit should also handle 3-3-3-7 @ rated speed.
