| Thanks :) You can thank Blake for pointing it out. Someone on another forums pointed these buggers out to me: OCZ / 2GB DDR2 PC2-8500 / 1066MHz / NVIDIA® SLI™-Ready Edition / Dual Channel OCZ2N1066SR2GK FRYS.com*|*OCZ only $210 Or I may go for Newegg.com - mushkin eXtreme Performance 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) with EPP Profile Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail used for $150. DDR2-667 won't matter much since I will still need to underclock it a bit. Out of those 3, which would you pick and why? |

| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | If it were me, I'd go with the OCZ DDR2-1066. That's a fantastic price for that speed, and from personal experience, their kits run great while be backed by excellent customer support. |

| Think it will give good results even though its 5-5-5-15? Since the motherboard only supports upto DDR2-800, would it underclock it to 800MHz? |

| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | Most higher spec'd kits are rated with looser timings, as it's extremely difficult to run tight at high clockspeeds. However, a DDR2-1066 kit is guaranteed to run at DDR2-1066, and at lower clockspeeds, it will almost certainly run tighter timings. On the flip side, a DDR2-800 kit is guaranteed to run DDR2-800, and while loosening the timings may allow it to reach 1066+, it's not a given. That being said, all you need for a good overclocking foundation is a solid kit of DDR2-800, but as mentioned, given the price of the kit you linked, it would be my choice over the others. When coupled with a good motherboard, there's a high chance you'll be able to reach a good overclock with a decent RAM speed, the best of both worlds if you will, and you wouldn't be breaking the bank. |

| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | EBay wouldn't be my first choice for memory, even though I'm fairly confident OCZ would take care of you in the event you received a bum stick. Still, at $240 (and probably plus shipping), it's still a decent price for DDR2-1066, but no longer spectacular. Instead, I would browse through the 2GB DDR2-800 offerings on Newegg (LINK) and pick out a kit without focusing so much on the specific ICs being used. |

is still the best DDR2-800 ram I could find on newegg. The DDR2-667 for $150 is a nice deal though. Especially since that ram costs $260 new. | |

| I'm Diggin it! | I can highly recommend OCZ memory as well. And with that kit, even though your prospective mobo doesn't support that speed, you can carry that memory over to a new platform later on. The C2D E6xxx series have a 1066 FSB,so when/if you use one of these CPU's, that ram will run at a 1:2 ratio and be very fast. I like tight timings, but as long as you have ram capable of overclocking enough to overpower tight timings through brute force, that's a good thing.
