I'll wait the answer from Intel, and then we will all see. :)
I think Mitho is going by what AMD has done with their server chips. The s939 Opterons all had the extra cache. It just seems to be a common trend with desktop socket server chips.

They were more expensive too. =S
I'll be checking my e-mails every few now and then to see what they come up with.

Intel is taking a while to answer to my e-mail, I guess i'll have to call them tomorrow.

They are exactly the same. Except the Xeon packaging costs a little more.

e6300 = 3040 = 2MB
e6400 = 3050 = 2MB
e6600 = 3060 = 4MB
e6700 = 3070 = 4MB

The Xeons might be speed binned a little higher, but I don't think there are enough of them out there to determine that yet.

Laptop: Dell 640M | T2050 | 2x 512MB | 120GB | intel A/B/G | Bluetooth

What information are you basing this off of? Everything we have been looking at is contradictory.

intel sspec pages.

Every link I've seen in this thread backs up what I posted, unless I'm missing something...

Maybe some of the links have been changed since the thread was started.
