| Re: Q6600 vs Q6700 worth $250? Not always, but as for the workstation models of Opterons (the 1xx series), they overclock better than the Athlon64 X2s. It hasn't been that long that Intel/AMD have made workstation/server capable processors that are meant to run in a single CPU environment (Opteron 1xx's are single CPU only, Opty 2xx are dual CPU, 4xx are quad CPU) - they've left that market to desktop CPUs.
