Can't run but one instance at a time...at least that's what the readme says.

One core is running about 80%, and a second one is running about 15-20%.

I have no warranty on the CPU so I could lap the IHS if it's going to help.

You can run multiple instance. It's actually done everywhere around the world as we speak.
Copy your F@H folder. Delete the client.cfg and re-run the "new" FAH-console. When they ask for machine ID, instead of putting 0 like the first one, put 1. That's second core. 2 is third core and 3 is fourth core. =]

Edit: Besides, with a quad core, you should be running FAH SMP for even better results. :)

Thumbs up My X2 4800+ has better temps after intake fan.

I think I've fixed the problem with a case fan mod.
A BIG drop with ambient temps at 30deg.

I removed the spare drive bay panels and mounted a 120mm SilenX iXtrema Pro 11dB fan there covered by a Sunbeam 3 Blade grill.
I tried to make it look as standard as possible.
Now I just have to paint silver around the panel where it's recessed a bit so I can close the front cover and I will need paint the 3.5"floppy cover black too.
