I haven't seen Mandriva/Mandrake mentioned in the sea of Ubantu's out there. No one uses it?

I haven't tried mandrive since it was mandrake... version 10.5 or something like that. Too much for the computer I was running it on (old celeron with 64mb of ram), shoulda stuck with version 8 at the time.

I'm really digging openSUSE though. Still getting it all setup on my laptop, but in some ways it's actually more functional out of the box than ubuntu (things like flash and stuff work right after the install).

Just need to get the desktop effects and the tablet functions to work, and it'll be all set to go.

Now if only they'd push out working ati drivers so I can try out Fedora 9 again.

Yes, indeed. However, it was a possible problem with my power supply (hence why I posted on Hardware Logic). My motherboard (see signature) has an 8-pin connector for the CPU. My power supply (see signature - don't know model) only has a 4-pin connector. However, the 4-pin connector had the "+12V"- and "ground"-colored wires, and fit into the left half of the connector on the motherboard. Since the motherboard manual showed that the top row was all +12V and the bottom row was all ground, and that part was the same as the PSU, I thought it might work anyways (if they were wired in parallel). And it did. Thanks again, guys/gals.

I have used it a few times over there years, I always find myself going back to Suse.

I keep preaching the same thing, but it seems to fall on deaf ears of the Ubuntu blinded.

I have had good luck with Fedora 7 and 8... but I am going to be jumping into BSD pretty soon and mess with that

Thanks HL and Corsair!
