There is one thing I have experienced on recent Gigabyte boards that you might need to look out for.
If the hard drive is SATA and you are trying to use a PATA CD/DVD, it might not work. In my case it would hang.
The solution was to use a SATA hard drive and a SATA CD/DVD.

I found that by setting the BIOS on my DS3 to (I think) ACHI took care of that problem for me dedgar... I will have to check again to be sure of the exact setting but with my specific build this was not a problem.

I haven't had any problem with Kingston RAM... used it for my very first build and it was fine. Didn't OC well at all though.

U have had Kingston ram for nearly 5 years and it hasn't gone wrong.
