Core 2 Duo does almost twice as much per clock cycle as the Pentium 4's and Pentium D processors. 2 GHz Core 2 Duo would come out to roughly the same performance as a 3.8 GHz Pentium D...

yeah a 3.6ghz pentium D is near same speed as a 1.86 core 2. they are some good CPU's

Near the same speed but with 100x the heat!!

yeah mine idled at 51c with the stock cooler(load just kept rising). now its 39c on cold days and 42c on hot days.
