well, intel is so big that they've reached the point where they think their stuff doesn't stink. all the signs point towards a design flaw within the chip and Rich can display it. there has to be others with the same problem getting their fsb to raise no matter the multiplier.

Yeah, I think it gets to a point where Intel is so big, that it doesn't care whether one person has a bad experience with one of it's CPU's. A million other people are going to buy one, there still going to make a ton of money. But you would think that if a review site got a bad CPu, that they would replace it, as many people are going to read the review and base where they place their money on the review.

But don't forget, the processor is still perfectly fine according to what Intel sold it as so they really have no reason to bother trying to rectify the situation; especially if this "problem" affects all the Core 2 Duos...

Yeah, I guess that they just don't care, as even if one review site has a problem with their CPU's, the majority of people will still buy Intel CPU's because AMD is so out of the race, at least until Phenom rolls around.

Thing is, if Rich would have just listened to a certain member and used a P182, he would have been able to overclock that cpu till the nuts fell off it.
