True. But that doesn't stop the multitudes of people who gravitate towards Apple products, in particular the iPod, like so much mindless cattle.

Very true....and its baffling. Apple products are not better than PC products.....their only strength is in marketing, and fan bois who really either want to fight the establishment or who believe everything they see in a MAC/PC commercial.

Hear hear! I definitely dont want AMD to go under, because they've had a good track record with price to performance. A C2D is the obvious choice, but when us budgeters can get a dual core for ~60 bucks, the reasoning is there. Just look at the price of the 8800 Ultra when it came out, if AMD tanks taking ATi with it, we'll be in a world of hurt. Nvidia CPU's anyone?

And about those Apple commercials, I seriously loathe them. Mac/PC, what are they talking about? An Apple computer is STILL a PC, Mac is only the operating system.
