Why not give it a nice lap and see what difference it makes? (the E6600 I mean)

from other stories i have read at random online, this seems to be a common problem... the DS3 is either making the proc run hotter OR the BIOS is reading a different sensor which is a much hotter sensor

Thanks HL and Corsair!

the Bios reading is at 32-36C when i check it there... i've check other forums and website, from looks of it only few people experience the same problem with it...

YH thanks with the suggestion of lapping but its not my thing i dont want to render my E6600 totally useles when mistake happend...

BIOS reading is different with Coretemp and ITAT temps at windows... when i still got my other board ECS680i working the temp is way much lower, so its either MOBO or HS... i'm jus trying to figure it out, since i have no choice but to wait until my financial situations allow me to buy new stuff... and i already gave away my other HS so i have no spare at all...

If the ECS 680i is making it run cooler, just use that... It's a better board too.

i wish its still working, it just fried itself from the CPU socket to the SATA and PATA connection, it can no longer detect the removable drives as in all HDD and IDE connection
gone...
well i'm leaning towards buying this Newegg.com - EVGA 122-CK-NF63-TR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
when i get some money buy the end of the year or early next... beside i started loving the OC
when i get hang of how thing works... its quite addicting ... anyway thanks for all the help though...

i wish this is just a fluke but its been like this since i got my DS3 from RMA...

All you overclockers that have run your E6600 over 60C, just send them to me. I will take them off your hands at no charge to you.
I will dispose of them for you.
I know that it is a thankless job. But I'm here to help.
