Did you miss the fact that DX10 is on Vista and not XP? Or is there something I don't know about it?

Yes.... I know...

But here's the thing. Most of these games that are coming out... Crysis, UT 2k7, Alan Wake, etc. although they have a DX10 option, will be DX9 compatible. Most of these new dx10 games will have support for dx9. I think these game companies want to have their products compatible to as wide an audience as possible. By the time I actually care about going Vista (and thereby wanting to play these DX10 only games) I'll have enough money to buy a new rig. I'll probably have a steady job by then.
