Yeah...you can't legally toss computers in NY anymore...they'll write you up a ticket and won't even take the computer. You gotta schedule a "recycle" pickup. Course there's always just wrap it up in a black trash bag, they'll just toss that. I remember the days when you could just place TVs and such on the curb.
Speaking of old comps, i should see if i can mod my old P3 computer into something silly. I gave away my 486 to someone who i believe watercooled it just because he could.

Haha, I made myself a Pentium keychain a while ago.
166mhz all the way.
I also have a fully working Cyrix GXm-233GP 2.9v in a plastic. When I die I'll sell it or something.
Edit: Oh yeah, 320pins on those. lol
